SyZyGy Jewelry is owned and operated by the wife and husband team of Dianne and Bernd Lehmann. It was founded in the year 2000 in Dewey, Arizona. However, design and production of their amazing adornments for women began in 1994.
Dianne has always had a creative spark within her. It stubbornly survived her father's attempts to take her down an analytical path toward becoming a doctor. She tried many different mediums to express her bright creativity. Designing wearable art finally won out. She still incorporates some of her early training in her current jewelry designs...crochet, for example. She feels that creativity is a drive within us; an irresistible urge to bring what we imagine into the realm of reality. Many nights she will awaken from a sound sleep and just know exactly what needs to be done. Inspiration strikes when the mind is quiet and the soul takes flight
Dianne likes to always try new things. She finds it hard to make the same item twice. Thus the main focus at SyZyGy is uniqueness. Bernd, on the other hand, seems to be happy working in a series. He has developed a couple of lines that are very appealing.
Bernd has a long background in fine jewelry. He started working in his father's fine jewelry store at the tender age of 14. After many years of working in that industry, he tried a number of different careers. Eventually, he decided to get back to his roots. Designing and building jewelry seemed like a natural result.
Both Dianne and Bernd find the creative process to be life affirming and very fulfilling.
Dianne's birthstone is peridot and you will find a small peridot on most items that SyZyGy produces. It will usually be near the clasp.
