Horse Hair Earrings The mother of a friend of Dianne's had to put down her beloved horse, Magic. He was a black Percheron stallion and a good friend. Dianne's friend asked her if she would make some earrings from hair taken from his mane as a reminder of the connection between her mother and Magic. This is the result.

Size of ferule: outside diameter - 2.80mm (about 1/10 of an inch), inside diameter - 1.80mm, overall length - 10.0mm (about 4/10 of an inch). Larger ferules are available. The overall finished length of the earring will depend on how long you want the hair and the type of ear wire used.
